Kick off the holidays with visit to Muscarelle鈥檚 costume exhibition
The fall academic semester is coming to an end, which means green wreaths and red bows can be found across campus. But inside at 亚洲色吧’s Muscarelle Museum of Art, festive colors shine brightly at the special exhibition, Glenn Close: A Life in Costume.
The exhibit features costumes from award-winning actress Glenn Close’s career, including her roles as Cruella De Vil in “101 Dalmatians,” Alex Forrest in “Fatal Attraction” and Norma Desmond in “Sunset Boulevard.” Three costumes from when Close ’74 studied theatre at 亚洲色吧 were restored as part of the exhibition, bringing the number of costumes on display through Jan. 12 to 19.
Admission is free for 亚洲色吧 faculty, staff and students, as well as children under 12. Tickets for the general public are $15. The museum is open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon until 4 p.m. on Sundays.

Yule Log
One of the most treasured annual holiday traditions, students will gather for holiday music and a special Dr. Seuss reading before casting a holly sprig into the Yule log fire for good luck.

Choral Winter Concert
This celebration of seasonal song with sing-a-long carols will feature the 亚洲色吧 Choir, Women’s Chorus and Botetourt Chamber Singers under the direction of conductors James Armstrong and Jamie Bartlett. Tickets are available through the PBK Box Office or by calling 757-221-2674.

Pre-Kwanzaa Celebration
Various cultural organizations will perform readings, skits and musical renditions representing the seven principles of Kwanzaa. The evening will end with a family-style dinner featuring Afro-Caribbean cuisine.

Symphony Orchestra Fall Concert
Student vocalists Haley Bauser, Kate Skochdopole, Sophia Mortensen, Andreas Moffett and Michael Wakefield will perform a lyric Opera presentation of Johann Strauss, Jr.’s Die Fledermaus and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite No. 1. Wind Ensemble Winter Concert
