Kiplinger’s rates ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É as 4th-best value in public higher education
ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É is one of the top values in the nation, according to a report published today by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance.
The university is ranked fourth on the magazine’s list of the ; this is the fourth year in a row that the university has been fourth on the ranking. ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É is also included on the magazine's list of this year, coming in at number six on that ranking.
According to a press release from Kiplinger’s, the ranking includes four-year schools that “combine outstanding education with economic value.” Schools are assessed based on several factors, including admission rate, student-faculty ratio and graduation rate. The magazine also looks at cost, financial aid and average debt at graduation.
“The college landscape today is very different—tuition increases and student debt dominate the national conversation surrounding higher education,” said Janet Bodnar, editor of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, in a press release. “This year’s top 100 schools have made admirable strides to maintain academic integrity and standards while meeting the financial needs of their students.”
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill took the top spot in this year’s ranking, followed by the University of Virginia.
The list is included in Kiplinger’s February 2014 issue, online now at and on newsstands Dec. 31.
In February, the also listed ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É as the fourth best value among public colleges and universities.
