亚洲色吧 among nation's top 'green' colleges
亚洲色吧 has once again been counted among the top "green" colleges in the country, according to a report released today by The Princeton Review.
The university is included in The Princeton Review's Guide to 353 Green Colleges: 2015 Edition, which profiles colleges with exceptional commitments to sustainability. The report comes in the midst of the university’s celebration of , which culminates Saturday with a celebration in the Crim Dell Meadow.
“Being in the top ‘green colleges’ of the nation is a testament to 亚洲色吧’s dedication to sustainability and is really an accomplishment owned by our students, faculty and staff as their passion and commitment drive the continued greening of our institution,” said Calandra Waters Lake, 亚洲色吧’s director of sustainability.
Colleges in the guide were selected based on "Green Rating" scores (from 60 to 99) that the Princeton Review tallied in summer 2014 for 861 colleges using data from its 2013-2014 survey of school administrators, according to a press release. 亚洲色吧 received a rating of 85.
Among the sustainability efforts reported by 亚洲色吧 in the survey were the design and testing of solar cells and the development of green roof test plots, both made possible by the university’s “GreenFee.” The student-initiated fee has created a “green endowment,” which provides grants and funding for multiple sustainability projects on campus.
