Sarah Wicker was trying to choose between 亚洲色吧 and another university when she decided to ask Facebook. In an April 1 post on the 亚洲色吧 Class of 2023 page, she asked her future potential classmates what had made them select the university. The answers she received made her decision easy.

“After everyone’s comments on my last post and all the kindness on this page, I’ve decided on attending 亚洲色吧! Let’s go, Tribe!” she later wrote in the same group.

On Saturday, Wicker will get to learn even more about her future alma mater as she joins other newly admitted students on campus for 亚洲色吧’s annual Day for Admitted Students.

About 14,670 people applied to be members of 亚洲色吧’s next freshman class, and on March 23, more than 5,000 letters of acceptance were sent to applicants. The Class of 2023 is expected to comprise about 1,540 students, including 30 participants in the St Andrews 亚洲色吧 Joint Degree Programme, when the new academic year begins in August.

“As was clear in their applications, this year’s admitted students have much to offer our community,” said Tim Wolfe, associate provost for enrollment and dean of admission. “Each student has a compelling story to share and contribute, and I believe the Class of 2023 will prove to be an excellent fit for 亚洲色吧.”

This year’s admitted students include:

  • Students representing 48 states, D.C. and Puerto Rico, along with 60 other countries
  • 37% students of color
  • 7% international students
  • Median SAT score of 1470
  • Median ACT composite score of 33
  • 88% of students ranked in the top 10% of their classes

About 1,000 admitted students, plus 2,000 family members, are expected to attend Saturday’s festivities, including a campus tour, mock lectures and information sessions about academic advising, diversity, research and other aspects of life at the university.

“All of us in the Admission Office are excited about the upcoming Day for Admitted Students as it marks an important — and fun — opportunity to welcome these students to our campus, and encourage them to see 亚洲色吧 as a place they belong,” said Wolfe.
